The Iron 883 is a nice bike, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a new rider, or an experienced one. They handle well, and are an extremely reliable motorcycle. They're very easy to maintain; with no chain maintenance or valve lash to worry about. The Sportster is just a ton of fun to ride.
